A Place-Based Publishing Company
Here & There Wonders is a publishing company creating stories, educational materials, and community-centered invitations for children and families. Our work combines storytelling, illustration, and intentional design to create books and resources that encourage curiosity, exploration, and connection to the world immediately around us.
While our roots remain grounded in Spokane and the Inland Northwest, the ideas behind Here & There Wonders are meant to be universal: every community carries stories worth sharing, and every child deserves opportunities to connect meaningfully with the places they call home.

How We Approach Storytelling
At Here & There, place is never treated as a simple backdrop. The parks children play in, the landmarks families recognize, the traditions communities celebrate, and the environments people grow alongside all become part of the storytelling experience itself.
Our approach blends imaginative storytelling with real-world connection, pairing fictional characters and adventures with recognizable places, local culture, and opportunities for further discovery.
By combining story, illustration, and educational elements, we aim to create experiences that feel both playful and grounded, encouraging children and families to notice their surroundings more carefully and engage more deeply with the communities around them.
Why Place Matters
Children naturally form memories and emotional connections through the places they experience every day. A familiar park, a neighborhood landmark, a seasonal tradition, or a shared community event can become part of how a child understands belonging and identity. Through place-based storytelling, those everyday experiences are elevated into something memorable, meaningful, and lasting.
